AutoLocksmith4U Ltd is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Data we collect

When you contact us we collect your name, phone number, postcode, vehicle details (registration, make, model) and a description of the service you require. We may also collect ID and V5C details on arrival to verify vehicle ownership.

2. How we use your data

We use your data solely to deliver the service you have requested, to communicate with you about the job, to issue receipts and to comply with our legal obligations.

3. Lawful basis

Our lawful basis is the performance of a contract with you and, where appropriate, our legitimate interest in operating a safe and accountable locksmith service.

4. Retention

We retain customer records for 7 years to comply with HMRC requirements. CCTV / dashcam footage from engineer vans is retained for 30 days.

5. Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with marketers. We may share limited information with insurers, regulators or law enforcement where legally required.

6. Your rights
