Frequently asked
How much is a replacement key fob in the UK?
Most basic remote fobs cost £95–£140 fully fitted. Proximity smart fobs for keyless cars typically run £180–£220. We confirm the exact price before dispatching.
Can you just replace the fob shell?
Yes — if the electronics still work, a shell-only swap is usually £60–£90 fitted. We'll inspect on-site and tell you if it's an option for your fob.
My fob unlocks the car but won't start it. Can you fix that?
Yes. The transponder chip inside the fob has likely failed or lost its pairing. We diagnose on-site and either reprogram the existing fob or supply a new one.
Will a new fob delete my old one?
Yes — we always delete any previously paired fobs from your car's immobiliser as standard, so lost or stolen fobs can't be used.
Do you cover smart / keyless key fobs?
Yes — BMW, Mercedes, Audi, VW, Range Rover, Tesla and most modern push-to-start vehicles. Dealer-level programming kit is carried on every van.
